In January, the overall average price of resale homes in Mississauga surged by 14% year-on-year, accompanied by a significant increase of 44% in transaction volume compared to the same period last year.

The main driving force behind the price increase in Mississauga in January primarily came from detached houses, with their average price rising by 16% year-on-year. Semi-detached houses also saw a 4% year-on-year increase in average price.

However, townhouses and Condo apartments in Mississauga experienced price declines in January, with their average prices dropping by 3% and 5% respectively compared to the previous year.

The transaction volume for various types of housing showed generic increases, with detached houses and townhouses witnessing a 70% increase, while the transaction volume for semi-detached houses doubled compared to the same period last year.

In November, the overall average housing price in Mississauga decreased by 3% year-on-year, with the average price for detached houses also showing a 3% year-on-year decrease. The transaction volume decreased by 7% year-on-year and experienced a more significant decrease of 22% for detached houses.

The semi-detached house market in Mississauga and Brampton is quite representative in the Greater Toronto Area and deserves attention. In November, the average price for semi-detached houses in Mississauga increased by 8% year-on-year, with a corresponding 20% increase in transaction volume.
