In April, the average price of detached houses in Aurora increased by 2% year-on-year, while semi-detached houses saw a 7% increase. Townhouse prices remained unchanged, but the condominium market showed remarkable performance with both volume and prices rising. The average price of Condo apartments increased by 21% year-on-year and by 7% month-on-month.

In April, the transaction volume for detached houses and townhouses in Aurora saw significant decreases compared to the previous year, while the transaction volume for Condo apartments increased by 180% year-on-year. This trend contributed to a decrease in the overall weighted average home price in Aurora. Therefore, in April, the overall average price of resale homes in Aurora decreased by 3% year-on-year, with a 15% contraction in transaction volume.

In March, the overall average price of resale homes in Aurora remained flat compared to the same period last year, while transaction volume decreased by 7% year-on-year.

Although the average prices of all types of homes in Aurora showed year-on-year increases in March, with detached houses up by 4%, semi-detached houses by 20%, and townhouses and condominiums by around 10%, the decrease in transaction volume by 24% for detached houses, which have higher unit prices, offset the increase in transaction volume for other types of homes with relatively lower unit prices. As a result, the overall weighted average housing price in Aurora did not show an increase year-on-year in March.
